The Army is a funny thing, it can drive you crazy wondering where you are going to live next, when you will see your husband again or when your next good bye will be, but it can also bring some pretty cool people into your life! This is Alex and Kaylee. Alex and TJ (my hubby) work together on Black Hawks. They are also getting ready to leave to Iraq very very soon…too soon!!! Im so glad that I got to meet them both and do these pictures. We all got to know Manhattan Kansas a little better today. Enjoy your sneak peak guys…

I really had a great time doing these pictures with you guys. I really look forward to getting to know you over this next year or so Kayle! Hope you guys enjoyed these.

It was so wonderful getting out on such a beautiful day to take these pictures. The weather was perfect and the sun was shining.

This is Rosie, she is due to have her first baby in April and her husband is in Iraq serving with the Army. He will be home soon for the birth of their baby boy, Im sure she is so excited!

Thank you for having me do these pictures…I cant wait to meet you little one soon!

Family Visit | Fort Riley Kansas Photographer

It has been a while since I have posted anything personal on here. I thought I would share a little about our life here in Kansas and some pictures from a visit with TJ’s Mom and Jerry over the weekend.

We are really loving it here in Manhattan Kansas! It is a really fun town and we have found a lot to do here, and Fort Riley is just beautiful. We are so glad we got here before all the leaves fell off of the trees because it sure isn’t as pretty in the winter =) Here are a few pictures of the beautiful fall colors…

Our girls started school right away…and they were SO excited to be riding the bus to school.

We started doing some exploring around the different towns close by. We found this beautiful church in Topeka Kansas…maybe a future wedding location I can shoot =)

We are gearing up for TJ’s deployment that is coming up way WAY too quickly! He will be going very very soon. His mom and step dad came to visit us before he leaves and we had a wonderful time with them. TJ got to show us the Hanger where he works and it was really cool! We all loved seeing the Black Hawks so close.

We sure are going to miss him! We know that God has a great plan for us though and that TJ is surely in His hands through it all! If you pray, please keep our family in your prayers this next year, and all those who are serving our country! I leave you with this sweet promise…

Something I love so much, is new life! It is such an amazing gift God has given to us. Today I got to take pictures of a teeny tiny little peanut! She is so beautiful as you will see. I truly LOVE new baby sessions. I would do them all for free just to do them…Shhhh dont tell! =) Thank you for letting me into your home today Hannah and letting me get my baby fix! Hope you like the little sneak peak!

She was wide awake for the most part! Just look at those baby blues!

Momma got her to sleep after a full tummy and that is when the magic happened!

Hannah, you are such a sweet spirit and are making a wonderful mommy! I am so glad to have met you and look forward to getting to know you better! Thanks again for letting me do these! I hope they bless you guys!

When we first moved here to Kansas, I was out getting some groceries…and I had a very sweet, excited cashier. He was excited because his son had just proposed to the sweetest girl. He really was super excited and it just beamed out of him. I gave him my card after talking a bit and there shortly after, I got an email from Brandy. I hope you enjoy your sneak peak guys. I had fun getting to know Manhattan a little better with you guys.
